Pacer International, Inc., has promoted Tom Shurstad to president. Don Orris remains chairman and CEO. For the past five years, Shurstad has served as president of Pacer Stacktrain and headed up Pacer's wholesale segment, which includes both Pacer Stacktrain and Pacer Cartage. Tom Finkbiner is succeeding Shurstad in these roles.
Finkbiner, who resigned from Pacer's board of directors to take on his new responsibilities, has held such executive positions as VP-intermodal for Norfolk Southern and president and CEO for Quality Distribution, Inc.
