JAIX LEASING: Leased 140 5,400-cubic-foot-capacity aluminum Grainporter 2000[TM] covered hopper cars, built by Johnstown America, to Mark VII Logistics Services which will provide the cars to Frito-Lay as part of a transportation management program. The Grainporter 2000s, the first food-grade cars to be leased by JAIX, will be used to carry corn for production of processed snack foods. The cars have a lightweight of 53,000 pounds and a lading capacity of 233,000 pounds and do not require interior lining for food-grade commodity service.

They are also the first leased cars to be placed in service by Frito-Lay.
