BLE-CR agreement called "the best."

Conrail is coming close to completing its current round of labor negotiations, and has forged an agreement with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and its 2,500 CR employees.

BLE General Chairman Robert Godwin called the agreement "the best agreement in the railroad industry."

CR Vice President-Labor Relations Dennis Arouca called it "a true win-win for both parties."

With completion of the BLE multi-year deal, CR has about 85% of its union employees signed up.
