CSXT expands, renames bulk intermodal service - group now called CSX TransFlo - Brief Article

CSX Transportation has renamed its Bulk Intermodal Distribution Services (BIDS) group to CSX TransFlo. The expanded group, a network of specialized terminals and warehouses, allows customers not directly served by rail to transfer product between railcars, trucks, containers, and ships. CSX TransFlo is expected to expand its network by 50% in 1998.
Besides full-service bulk product transloading and warehouse facilities, CSX TransFlo also offers railcar inspection, truck inspection, quality control, sampling, grounds maintenance, environmental stewardship, and packaging services.
