ABC Rail Products Corp - to acquire wheel mounting arm of General Electric Railcar and Parts Service Corp - Brief Article

ABC RAIL PRODUCTS CORP. has entered into an agreement to purchase the wheel mounting business of General Electric Railcar and Parts Service Corp. That business operates at six locations across the country and reported 1994 sales of approximately $55 million. The transaction is to be completed May 15, subject to approval under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and "certain other conditions." Earlier, ABC announced an $80 million financing agreement with a syndicate of lenders led by American National Bank and Trust of Chicago.

It replaces a $35 million credit.
