Jackson & Perkins Company of Medford, Oregon, is introducing two new roses in 2002 as part of its course of roses for a cause. Ten percent of net sales go to the organization for which the rose is named, 'Habitat for Humanity' (glowing red hybrid tea) celebrates the nonprofit's 25 years of building homes for low-income families.

'Cesar E. Chavez' (bright red hybrid tea) helps support farmworkers. Other charity roses: 'Our Lady of Guadalupe' (silvery pink floribunda) benefits the Latino community through the Hispanic College Fund.
