Bamboo minifountain - garden fountain - Brief Article

Sunset, August, 2000 by Peter O. Whiteley

* David Faibisch, an importer or bamboo products, has found miniature water spouts that are just the right size for most bowlsized water gardens. The water, which runs through a length of clear acrylic tubing to a spout made of a bamboo rhizome notched into an upright piece, is driven by a small submersible pump that must be purchased separately.

A pair of horizontal bamboo supports rest on the lip of a small pot. There are two models, both adjustable--one from 6 to 10 inches high, the other from 10 to 16 inches high. Made in Vietnam, the fountains cost $32 and can be ordered from Bamboo Accents in Richmond, California (800/783-0557 or www.bambooaccents.com).
