Feb 20-23. The life and music of legendary vibraphonist Lionel Hampton will be celebrated at an annual Moscow Idaho, jazz bash that bears his name. The Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival, now in its 35th year at the University of Idaho, will feature such high-watt musicians as bassist Ray Brown, singer Jane Monheit, trumpeter Roy Hargrove (shown above) and his quintet, and 15year-old Kyrgyz Republic-born piano prodigy Eldar Djangirov.
