Memorable hike, mighty dam

The article "Grand Dam" (April, page 39 in some editions) reminded me of many hikes I took below the Hoover Dam years ago. I was even more delighted when you mentioned the payoff of the side trail that leads to a hot springs. As I remember, that little trail is at a place in the river called Ringbolt Rapids. I was told that rings were driven into the rocks to help pull boats up the Colorado River prior to the dam's construction.
