The Estate. - Guerneville, California - hotel reviews
Sunset, Sept, 1991
Built in 1922 by a well-to-do San Francisco banker, The Estate still has the feel of an elegant country manor. Furnishings--some antique, some contemporary--are carefully chosen, avoiding the excesses that plague many bed-and-breakfasts.
Each of the 10 guest rooms has a distinctive character; prices range from $100 for a small bedroom to $175 for a spacious suite. All have private bath, telephone, and TV. Guests can lounge by one of the stone fireplaces that dominate two common rooms on cool evenings, or outside by the pool and whirlpool tub on hot days.
Dinners that match the elegance of the setting are served on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings; cost is $25.
