Easy to get deep into these cabinets Two ways can be better than one when it comes to opening kitchen cabinets. A second point of entry can make the nether recesses easier to reach and use.
The double-door cabinet in the top photograph, designed by Los Angeles architect Wade Killefer, lets the owner pass clean dishes from the kitchen to a storage place near the dining room.
The front-and side-opening cabinet in the lower photograph, designed by Berkeley kitchen designer Gillian Servais, organizes items by how often they're used.
