Curator for SITE Santa Fe Biennial - Artworld - Robert Storr - Brief Article
Art in America, Oct, 2002 by Stephanie Cash, David Ebony
Former Museum of Modern Art curator Robert Storr has been selected to organize the fifth international biennial at SITE Santa Fe. Focusing on the theme of the grotesque in contemporary art, the exhibition is scheduled to run from July 17, 2004, to Jan. 9, 2005. Storr, who was a senior curator at MOMA for 12 years, recently left that position to become a professor of modern art at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts [see "Artworld," July '02].
The last SITE biennial, curated by Dave Hickey, appeared in 2001. The next installment, which would have taken place in 2003, has been delayed for one year while SITE renovates its facilities.
