Meanwhile, the Denver Art Museum, the Aspen Art Museum and the Logan Collection, in Vail, Colo., announced the formation of the Colorado Contemporary Arts Collaboration, an endeavor intended to raise awareness of modern and contemporary art in the Rocky Mountain region. The project entails coordinating exhibition programs, community outreach and other activities.

The announcement of the plan coincided with the July 21 debut of the Logan Collection, a nonprofit, private gallery for changing displays of some 900 works in the collection. The inaugural installation of some 400 pieces features major examples by Warhol, Hirst and Koons; it is open by appointment only.
