The University of Michigan Museum of Art in Ann Arbor has selected the proposal of Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture for the design of a new $35-million expansion and renovation project. Plans call for a 55,000-square-foot addition to the existing Beaux-Arts structure, which will double the museum's size.
Cloepfil's scheme was chosen over plans by 15 other firms. Construction is set to begin next year.
