Art in America, Jan, 2004
Liz Thompson, executive director of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council since 1997, has resigned the post. Under her leadership, the agency's budget increased from $750,000 to $3.5 million, and its staff grew from 4 to 17 members. She oversaw such innovative programs as World Views, which obtained studio space in the World Trade Center for artist residencies.
That program continues, most recently in the Woolworth Building.
