The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, recently broke ground for its new building designed by Diller Scofidio Renfro. The first art museum to be built in Boston in nearly 100 years, the 65,000 square-foot, cantilevered structure will overlook Boston Harbor. Its features include galleries, a 325-seat theater and high-tech education and digital media facilities.

The $62-million project is scheduled to be completed in 2006.
