The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, recently broke ground for its new building designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The first art museum to be built in Boston in nearly 100 years, the 65,000 square-foot, cantilevered structure will overlook Boston Harbor. Its features include galleries, a 325-seat theater and high-tech education and digital media facilities.

The $62-million project is scheduled to be completed in 2006.
