2007 Ad

The 2007 Turner Prize, given by the Tate Britain to a British artist under 50, has been awarded to Mark Wallinger. The artist, who receives about $51,000, won for his antiwar installation of 600 banners and posters re-creating Brian Haw's Parliament Square protest. Shortlisted artists receiving $10,000 each are Zarina Bhimji, Nathan Coley and Mike Nelson.
