Winners of the National Medal of Arts for 2004 were recently announced by President Bush. The recipients are the late sculptor Frederick Hart, choreographer and dancer Twyla Tharp, wildlife artist John Ruthven, architectural historian Vincent Scully, author Ray Bradbury, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, opera composer Carlisle Floyd and the late poet Anthony Hecht.
