Milwaukee Art Museum - Russell Bowman - Brief Article
Art in America, March, 2002 by Stephanie Cash, David Ebony
Russell Bowman, director of the Milwaukee Art Museum, has announced his resignation, effective July 1. As director, he oversaw the construction of the museum's new Santiago Calatrava--designed building, which cost over $100 million. He joined the museum in 1980 as chief curator and became director in 1985. He plans to start an art-advisory service in Chicago and Milwaukee.
