> New York's Whitney Museum has received a $1.5-million grant from the Mellon Foundation. The funds will be used to cover losses that the museum incurred as a result of Sept. 11, as well as to support conservation and education programs. A Mellon Foundation award of $705,000 goes to Harvard University Art Museums to fund two three-year postdoctoral fellowships in conservation science at the Straus Center for Conservation.
