The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture has announced the winners of its 2004 awards, to be presented at a ceremony in late April. Artists receiving medals are Lee Bontecou (sculpture), Gregory Crewdson (photography) and Carroll Dunham (painting). Art in General director Holly Block will receive the Governors Award for service to the arts.
Melva Bucksbaum and Raymond Learsy will be honored with the Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney Award for outstanding arts patronage and philanthropy.
