New York's New Museum of Contemporary Art announced it will open an interim space for exhibitions while its new building, set to open on the Bowery in 2006, is under construction. The museum, which closed its SoHo space in mid-May, will occupy over 7,000 square feet of the ground-floor space of the Chelsea Art Museum, at 11th Ave.
and 22nd St., which is also the home of the Miotte Foundation. The New Museum kicks off its Chelsea program with "Heath Bunting and Kayle Brandon: Rules of Crime," and a group show, "Adaptive Behavior," both on view Sept. 18-Nov. 13.
