New Museum of Contemporary Art

Art in America,  Sept, 2005

> Richard Flood, chief curator at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis since 1994, has been named chief curator of the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, which will open in its new downtown facility in 2007. Philippe Vergne, former senior curator who left the Walker last spring to head up Francois Pinault's now-abandoned Paris museum [see above], returns to the Walker to replace Flood as deputy director and chief curator.
