Art dealers bet on Vegas fair - Artworld - Brief Article

Art in America,  Sept, 2002  by Stephanie Cash,  David Ebony

High-rolling Las Vegas can't seem to get enough art these days. Art Las Vegas, a new fair organized by Thomas Blackman Associates, the organizer of Art Chicago and the San Francisco International Art Exposition, kicks off next month. From Oct. 11 to 14, some 125 international galleries will set up shop amid the glitz and glamour of the Vegas strip in a 125,000-square-foot temporary structure, located on the grounds of the new Palms Casino and Resort.

With the Bellagio Gallery and the Guggenheim Museum outposts nearby, visitors to the four-day event may not even have time for the slot machines.
