The International Center of Photography in New York recently gave its Infinity Awards for 2005. Susan Meiselas won the Cornell Capa Award. Bruce Weber was recognized for lifetime achievement. Loretta Lux won for art photography, and Tomas Munita received the prize for a young photographer. Village Voice critic Vince Aletti was honored for his writing on the medium.
The New Yorker magazine was singled out for photojournalism, and the award for best publication went to Lodz Ghetto Album: Photographs of Henryk Ross. Deborah Turbeville was cited for her work in applied photography.
