Camp Kinneret and Sunny Skies Day Camps Share smiles

Camp owner, Harold Gordon, of Camp Kinneret and Sunny Skies Day Camps in Agoura, California, established the Sharing Smiles Program at his camp as an opportunity for campers and counselors to bring smiles to the faces of other children in the nearby community. Summer camp counselors returned to the area during the Thanksgiving holidays to visit the homes of summer campers, who were contributing used toys, books, and clothing in good condition to the program.

The counselors volunteered to ride camp buses to pick up the used items and donate them to MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity), a nonprofit organization that provides services to assist families.
