Golden Quill Award

All manuscripts published in the January/February 2002 through November/December 2002 issues of Camping Magazine are entered in the contest. Submit manuscripts according to regular Camping Magazine submission guidelines. (See www.ACAcamps.org/campmag/contrib.htm.)

Golden Lens Award

All color and black-and-white photos and slides received by Camping Magazine in the 2002 calendar year are entered.

Photos should depict the camp experience and represent the best practices in the field. Photos that do not comply with ACA standards will not be considered. Please identify the photographer's name, camp name, and a contact address and phone number on each submission. Submit a letter stating that the camp or photographer has a model release on file for all identifiable subjects.

Judging

Manuscripts will be judged by the Camping Magazine Editorial Advisory Board. Photos will he judged by a panel of ACA national staff members.

Awards

Golden Quill and Golden Lens recipients receive a cash prize and a plaque. Award-winning articles and photos will be displayed at the 2003 ACA National Conference in Denver, Colorado, and will be announced in Camping Magazine.
