NSA Educational Tree Campaign Passes 50% Mark - Brief Article

Camping Magazine, July, 2000 by Susan Noell

A number of individuals and organizations recently displayed their belief and commitment to the accounting profession by making a tax-deductible contribution to the ongoing $100,000 NSA Educational Tree Campaign. Response to the campaign has been generous--more than $51,000 in contributions and pledges received.

The purpose of the campaign is to provide startup funding to implement a new grant program that will directly benefit the practitioner community through enhanced professional development opportunities. Donors to the campaign will be honored with an engraved leaf or stone on a beautiful recognition tree displayed at NSA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. The new program will be administered by NSA's offspring, the NSA Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization approved by the IRS for educational purposes. Your support is urgently needed to ensure the success of this worthy endeavor. For details on how you can join this important effort and receive permanent recognition at NSA headquarters, see the promotional ad on the next page.
