Topic: RSS FeedUnique marketing tool for camps gets more out of your digital camera
Camping Magazine, July-August, 2003
PhotoVision, Inc. has announced their new digitally created camp memorabilia product for today's summer camp industry. The company specializes in creating keepsake memory videos made from still photos taken during camp. The videos feature special effects, music, titles, the camp's logo, and contact information. The product is used as a value-added marketing tool designed to reinforce the experiences learned during camp while encouraging new and repeat business.
New technology and increased computer speed has allowed the development of this new process. The result is a significant improvement in quality. The new digitally created video produces sharper images enhanced by color, contrast, and level adjustments. Music fidelity is also improved. Customized titles are more dynamic with moving backgrounds instead of static blue palettes with white text. This can replace the photo CDs and Power-Point presentations that some camps use for marketing purposes.
PhotoVision markets this product under the brand name Create A Video[TM]. They still offer their original concept where they provide single-use cameras for use during camp sessions. The new digital process allows them to scan negatives (instead of printing the photos), thus improving the image quality in the photos. Campers and camp staff can log onto PhotoVision's Web site at www.createavideo.com.
PhotoVision, Inc. is based in Matthews, North Carolina, and has provided video products for families across America since 1985. For more information, contact David Martinson, President, PhotoVision, Inc., 888-533-7637, ext. 205.
