Camping Magazine, Sept-Oct, 2001

> The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the percentage of children living with their birth parents has risen in the early 90s. A second study published by the Census Bureau found the percentage of children living with birth parents increased from 51 percent in 1991 to 56 percent in 1996. The research also revealed increases in less traditional family structures, showing a growing trend in the number of stepparents, grandparents, and adoptive parents raising children.
