Morale boosters don't have to be costly. Consider these simple ideas for improving your staffs attitude.

* Humor corner: Designate one corner of the camp office or lounge as a place for humor, and encourage employees to post cartoons, jokes, and other materials. Stress that cartoons and jokes must be in good taste and inoffensive,

* Movie time: Have a TV, VCR, and movies available for counselors and staff to watch on their time off.

* Free food: Have popcorn, fruit, and other snacks available at staff meetings and in the lounge. Keep hard candy or mints in the camp office.

* Smile: A smile is contagious. If you have a positive attitude, your staff and campers are sure to catch it.
