No cover-up * Christopher Young, who has designed Commonweal's covers since 1999, has decided to turn his considerable talents and energies to other projects. High on Christopher's list of ambitions is the restoration of his Chelsea apartment, which has remained "under construction" for too many years as he has diligently built one Commonweal cover after another. Christopher was a font of ideas, a pleasure to work with, and as reliable as Big Ben. We will miss him and we wish him the very best.

With this issue, the Manhattan design firm of Liska & Associates, Inc., has taken on the task of creating Commonweal's covers. Each designer has his or her own visual vocabulary and signature, and we think readers will notice Liska's distinctive style immediately. We also know that we will hear from you when the covers don't please.
