The good book promotes good business - Your Life - survey finds Americans believe business executives should read the Bible - Brief Article

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), March, 2004

As business schools around the country search for material on ethics, a survey confirms that the most credible resource is one of the oldest books around. More than 70% of Americans believe scandals would be avoided if chief executive officers followed the principles found in the Bible, maintains a survey conducted by the American Research Group on behalf of David Steward, author of Doing Business by The Good Book: 52 Lessons on Success Straight from the Bible.

Ninety-four percent of Americans feel companies run by individuals who observe the Bible will grow at least as fast as or faster than those that are not. Over 54% of respondents indicate they would be more likely to invest in a company run by a CEO who uses the Bible to guide his or her business decisions.

Steward is the founder of World Wide Technology--now the largest African-American-owned company in the U.S.--in 1990. His book is the essence of what Steward and his wife have taught at Sunday school for the past four years. Following a Bible passage for each week of the year are corresponding scriptural references and personal anecdotes that can help readers increase their bottom line as well as the capacity of their souls.
