Game console storage: let's get organized
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), Jan, 2008
Though video gaming systems can give players hours of enjoyment, one thing we do not enjoy is trying to keep all of the games neatly organized, the wires out of the way, and the console and controllers properly stowed. Kids, with all their enthusiasm, will be kids, and invariably games get left out and wireless controllers find their way to the strangest of places.

With our library of video games growing continuously, it was high time we got a storage setup to keep things organized. The Video Game Storage unit from KangaRooM Storage is designed to hold up to 36 DVD-sized boxes or a combination of games, controllers, and other accessories in a 4 pull-out drawer. The actual gaming unit sits above it in the Game Console Storage component. Both are made of sturdy wood, and stack together nicely. The top of the Console Storage is open and the back vented for air circulation. It has a divided compartment to hold two large controllers. Additional storage units can be stacked to hold extra controllers and games.
The Video Game Storage unit ($75) measures 19" w x 7" h x 12" d. The Game Console Storage unit ($40) is 19" w x 4" h x 12" d. Each piece is sold separately.
To keep your handheld gadgets organized when you're on the go, try the Mini Media Pouch ($12.99). This fabric case contains six pockets to hold electronic devices such as cell phones, MP3 players, or digital cameras, plus their chargers. The bag measures 10.75" x 6.5", and is available in camel/chocolate, lilac/purple, and navy/cool dust.
