Who says you can't skateboard underwater?
USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), July, 2008
When it comes to keeping peace among children with a little extra free time on their hands, were learned one thing: You need to keep them busy! In the summer, that means giving them a few new pool toys so they'll stay entertained. One amusement that has kept them occupied is Pro-Chip Island Golf ($59.99) from SwimWays Corp., Virginia Beach, Va. Fun for golfers of all skill levels, the game includes a 66" x 40" floating green. Players place the chipping mat on the pool deck and send one of the 12 practice balls to the island. It has a moveable 18th hole flag, but does not include a golf club. The game also has taught them a modicum of restraint, as they quickly learned that success comes not from hit ting the ball as hard as they can, but from landing the ball nearer to the hole.
In the same way that skimming stones has an enduring appeal, the kids can't get enough of Skip Disk ($7.99). Like playing frisbee on the surface of the water, Skip Disk can skip up to 60 feet. Subskate ($14.99) takes skateboarding to a new level--underwater. Great for the pool, lake, or ocean, the Subskate is available in three colors: blue, orange, and green. Who knew such a feat was possible?
When it's time to relax, we all enjoy kicking back in the Lazy Dayz oversized float ($29.99). Constructed of 20-gauge PVC, it includes a built-in cup holder and cooler with lid that holds six cans. At 50" in diameter, Lazy Dayz offers head, neck, and back rests and uses a Boston valve for easy inflation and deflation. The float also features two side anchors for tying to your boat, dock, or another tube.

For the top of the line in relaxation, we turn to the king of all floating chaises, the Coronado Lounge ($179.99). With its extra-wide lounge bed and padded pillow, as well as three-position recline, the Coronado is our ultimate water escape. It has a swing away footrest for easy entry and includes two built-in cooler/storage compartments and a pair of cup holders. It's made with fade-resistant fabric and features glittering pontoons.
For a naturally beautiful water light display, we love SwimWays Ocean Art Jellies ($39.99). These detailed 18" floating jellyfish contain 12 superbright LEDs that provide a dazzling multicolor light show above and below the water's surface. One-touch activation cycles through a full spectrum of colors automatically, enhancing your outdoor waterscape. For pools, ponds, or spas.

When we head out to the beach, we make sure to strap on our Kelsyus Mesh Backpack Outdoor Chair ($29.99). This low-profile seat features breathable mesh and an adjustable foam pillow for added comfort, a carry-all zipper pocket hidden behind the seat, and a mesh cup holder.
