Easy Gardener makes gardening just that

USA Today (Society for the Advancement of Education), July, 2008

As we all make efforts to do our part to "go green," what better place to start than in the garden. Easy Gardener, Waco, Tex., has a line of products designed to make these transitions seamlessly.

Natural-looking Stepping Stones and Pavers are manufactured from 100% recycled rubber, making them 80% lighter than concrete, brick, and stone, and much easier to handle and install. They provide a cushioned step and come in two shapes: 13" round and 12" square. Available in four colors (sandstone, red, gray, and brown), they retail for $6.98 each.

Also made of 100% recycled rubber is the 4.5" Edge Border ($17.29/10' roll). While it looks like wood mulch, it is extremely durable and much longer lasting. Use it to beautify and protect flower beds, fences, and other structures from creeping grasses and weeds and to create a flat border to guard against mower damage. You easily can design curves with the Edge Border, which installs with garden staples.

For the health of your plants, Jobe's Organics Fertilizer Spikes ($5.49-$6.99) are a fuss-free way to deliver nutrients directly to the roots and promote beneficial microorganisms in the soil. These carefully formulated spikes, listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute for use in organic production, are premeasured, and available in five formulas: All Purpose (4-4-4), Container & Bedding Plants (3-5-6), Vegetables (2-7-4), Roses & Flowering Shrubs (3-5-6), and Trees & Shrubs (5-5-5). The spikes feed for eight weeks.
