It's always possible to keep track of what's hot and what's not by looking at the assortment of wall calendars being issued for the new year. Landmark Calendars, Novato, Calif., is right on top of trends with "The X-files" ($10.99), a spooky salute to the paranoid sci-fi television series that rapidly is approaching near-cult status. For those whose TV viewing still leans to the golden oldies floating around cable stations, a year's worth of shots from "I Love Lucy" ($10.99) should prove popular. Art lovers will appreciate those calendars that feature the works of Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, and Mary Cassat ($10.99). Of course, no calendar year would be complete without voluptuous super models such as Claudia Schiffer, Anna Nicole Smith, and "Baywatch" pneumatic beauty Pamela Anderson ($11.99 each). Women get a chance to ogle, too, with Cosmopolitan Men ($11.99) and the behemoths of the World Wrestling Federation ($10.99). Meanwhile, perennial legends James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis ($10.99 each) haven't lost their appeal.

Graphique de France, Woburn, Mass., kicks off the year with tributes to the internationally renowned touring circus, Cirque de Soleil, and two of the most beloved children's books of all time - The Velveteen Rabbit and Curious George. Art calendars suit all tastes, from the classic old masters such as Johannes Vermeer, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and Raoul Dufy to more modern art from Georgia O'keeffe, David Hockney, and surrealist Salvador Dali. Avant garde photography from Man Ray and Helmut Newton definitely are for those with specialized interests, bordering on fetishism. All wall calendars run $10.95, with many available in desktop ($7.95) size as well.
