Dear Tipper:

Prepare yourself, sweetie. Erich Segal has written a book about us! He calls it "Tipper and Al" but I think I've convinced him to change the name to Love Story. He's got you down to a tee, of course, and my mom and dad. He hasn't quite captured me, though. I die in the end, which is kind of sad, I guess.

"Hey, Erich," I said, "if it's supposed to be me, how come I die at the end?" And he said, "Well, Gore, you're going to Vietnam, right? You could die there, right?" And I just laughed at him, 'cause we all know I'm not going to THAT part of Vietnam.

Love and kisses, Al

P.S.: I left some drawings in your room last week. I've almost mapped out an entire DNA strand. Don't let the maid throw them out.
