Red-diaper baby, ex-radical, and now outspoken conservative commentator David Horowitz got a pie in the face when addressing students at Indianapolis's Butler University the other day

Red-diaper baby, ex-radical, and now outspoken conservative commentator David Horowitz got a pie in the face when addressing students at Indianapolis's Butler University the other day. Aweek earlier, Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, got the same treatment at Earlham College in Richmond, Ind.; and Pat Buchanan was recently doused with salad dressing while speaking at Western Michigan University.

(Adding insult to injury, pictures appear to show that the projected dressing was French.) Is this just a midwestern phenomenon, or should conservative speakers nationwide start showing up in dungarees for college events? We can put up with the indignity, and the preference of campus leftists for prankish assaults over reasoned rebuttal speaks for itself; but we can't see any point in incurring unnecessary dry-cleaning bills.
