Lost Souls (Astralwerks)
Despite its name, this U.K. trio is anything but peaceful. While the tracks on this debut have a cool surface, a hypnotically brooding human heart lies underneath. Doves offer a fascinating hybrid: a bloody valentine to early '90s, shoegazing, U.K. guitar rock that also whirrs and hums with Air-conditioned electronica.
