Bright lights, bold fashion: color, color, color

Interview, Dec, 2002 by Joanna Jacovini

From what we've seen at the fashion shows for next season, it's a good idea to have sunglasses this spring. Whether as a response to the overwhelming prevalence of black in this fall's fashion or designers' ongoing inspiration from pop art--like the Peter Halley paintings pictured here--neon, fluorescent, day-glo and the brightest of brights lit up the runways for the spring season.

From Robert Wilson's limited-edition fluorescent bags for Vuitton available for the holidays to John Galliano's fuchsia fantasies for Dior to Nicolas Ghesquiere's beautiful aquatic prints for Balenciaga available next spring, soon your closet will glow in the dark.
