Topic: RSS FeedWhat A Girl Wants - singer Christina Aguilera discusses her career - Interview
Interview, April, 2000 by Evelyn McDonnell
CA: I love the realness of it and how she does plunge into her emotions and expose herself. I really, really believe strongly in doing more of that myself. Pop music lacks a lot of depth or soul or heart, and maybe I can change that, as time goes by.
EM: This is going to be the first presidential election that you're old enough to participate in. Are you planning to vote?
CA: I guess so. I haven't really even thought about that. I am going to study up, see who is running and what they are about.
EM: What do you think are the important issues for someone your age?
CA: I'd have to think about that. I am so new to all this political stuff. I do think it's important to get young people involved, because we are citizens, too.
EM: My last question: What does a girl want?
CA: A driver's license!
