Review: FRACTURE (New Line) Directed by Gregory Hoblit

A sleek, twisty thriller of wealth and power, Fracture is the kind of film where even law offices have sexy lighting. Anthony Hopkins stars as a man well on his way to getting away with murder, and Ryan Gosling plays a young lawyer caught between ambition and justice--though mostly it's all just a pretense to get these two actors gleefully sparring in a room together. It all should seem contrived, but the top-notch cast, which also includes David Strathairn and Rosamund Pike, somehow manages to make it unexpectedly riveting.
