Master action producer Jerry Bruckheimer and always over-the-top director Bay join forces in hopes of turning December 7, 1941--the day FDR intoned would "live in infamy"--into a record box-office payday. The summer's first sure blockbuster boasts a script by Braveheart screenwriter Randall Wallace and an all-star cast of the brightest, best and most beautiful--Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Kate Beckinsale, among others. This pic promises to be the best romantic/action epic cobbled out of familiar events since Titanic (1997).
