Ruff Ryders. - Review - sound recording review

Interview, August, 2000 by Nichole Beattie

Ryde or Die Volume II (Ruff Ryders/Interscope Any great act is tough to follow, and this sophomore album proves no exception. Where the Ruff Ryders' first album offered a wild, in-your-face ride, Volume II stalls with lazy beats and pathetically unoriginal subject matter (e.g.: "Weed, Hoes, Dough").

They do manage to rev it up with a modern-day battle of the sexes between Eve and Jadakiss on the album's most exhilarating song, "Got It All."
