Out Of The Box By Anita Sarko - Review

Interview, Sept, 2001

OFF CENTRE (WB)

I'll say it is. Paul and Chris Weitz (American Pie, 1999) have created an "unconventional buddy comedy" about friends who are opposites. If unconventional" refers to the fact that this comedy isn't even remotely funny, then the Weitz' objective has been reached. The premise is that odd couple (they wish!) Mike and Euan were roommates at Oxford and now they're in Manhattan, living in one of those fabbo pads only struggling TV folk manage to find and afford. The only reason to see this, besides the opportunity to lust after the apartment, is to admire the equally gorgeous Sean Maguire, who plays the British Euan. Miss it.
