David Fenton show

Interview, Nov, 2008 by Lucy Silverman

Yippies. Hippies. Sit-ins. Be-ins. The late '60s saw all manners of protest. It also provided a stage for then-teen underground photographer David Fenton to capture the clash of protesters and police. Starting October 30, Manhattan's Steven Kasher Gallery hosts "David Fenton: Eye of the Revolution," which features more than 75 explosive images of American revolt. Forty years later, Fenton, a New York City native, is still an advocate for change: Clients of his communications firm include MoveOn.org and Nelson Mandela. More info at stevenkasben.com.
