A waste of time?

Progressive, The, April, 2006

A Newton, Massachusetts, head librarian demanded the FBI obtain a warrant before searching the public library's computers to track down a threat e-mailed to Brandeis University, reports The Boston Globe. U.S. Attorney Michael J. Sullivan criticized the decision. "Getting a warrant is very time-consuming," said Sullivan.

"You have to collect facts, prepare an affidavit, present it to a judge ... That's valuable time that's potentially lost in an investigation."
