San Francisco

Because San Francisco is one of the most expensive rental markets in the country, "finding a place to live can pose a difficult challenge for people who are HIV-positive and homeless," says Kevin Fauteux, director of the local Lutheran Social Services office.

Seven years ago, Fauteux started the AIDS Financial Service program to help clients attain shelter. More than 800 HIV-positive people in the San Francisco area have now found homes through AIDS Financial Service.

For more information, contact Kevin Fauteux at Lutheran Social Services in San Francisco at (415) 974-1083, x103.
