Hot potatoes - No Comment - genetically modified potatoes - Brief Article

Progressive, The, May, 2003

The Leader-Post of Regina, Saskatchewan, reports that tons of genetically modified potatoes were sold to unsuspecting buyers as "regular potatoes" by a government potato company known as Spudco. A former Spudco employee said companies who bought the potatoes had no idea that the potatoes were genetically altered: "You can't tell.

There's no stamp on them saying 'GMO,' so the potatoes were just sold as regular potatoes."
